Thank you for your comment Brian...sorry I did not see it until now. Have been very preoccupied helping a family member who is on hospice. This is an older self-portrait and at that time in my life I was not the happiest person as I recall. It was one of those periods of trying to come to terms with an awareness of what I perceived to be my own shortcomings.
Brian Sereda
I love your eyes! What are they thinking? Your portrait allows us to wander in our minds, I think. Nice work!

Thank you Kym! We are so fortunate to be able to express all of our emotions through our work...even the more difficult ones!

Thank you dear Rosy! Funny you would say that because I have been contemplating finding room to set up a small studio again. There is some other work of a similar nature in my Fine Art and Portrait galleries.

Yes Jane, it is an older self-portrait. Thank you so much for your wise and kind comments...they warmed my heart this winter day!

Bob Salo
Wonderful work Rory...love the way you brought the eyes and hair forward but left the other parts of this beautiful portrait faded and unfinished while leaving the total expression complete !! FV
Rory Siegel replied:
Thank you so much Bob! I really appreciate your comments and learn a lot from them! Was that your son's work I saw earlier today? I did not want to presume, but it seemed that it might be so. How proud you must be...his work is great!
