The second in my Vintage Auto series...I believe this is a 1957 Chevy Impala, but not totally certain about the year and still researching. I saw this gorgeous car at the Wounded Warrior Auto Show in Yelm, WA a couple of weeks ago, along with a whole host of other amazing vehicles. This one really brought back some memories because although it's not the same year, it reminded me of the Impala my grandparents owned right up until they passed away. That was the model with the "wings" and the tire holder on the back...truly a gorgeous car! I still get a bit misty-eyed remembering my grandparents driving all of us to the Yaws Topnotch restaurant in Portland, Oregon to have my favorite drink of that time...a Green River! Then it was the best cheeseburgers you have ever tasted in your life, followed by chocolate sundaes with nuts, whipping creme, and even wafer cookies stuck on the top! And sometimes, my grandfather simply took us cruising in his gorgeous Impala. I cherish these wonderful me...
