I heard a loud chattering coming from my porch a little while ago. Walking slowly outside I found this rather vocal squirrel sitting up on the porch roof cross beams. He stayed there for quite a while, although ran up and down the post and onto the porch and railing several times, but gave me time to grab my camera and take his portrait. This is the closest I've gotten to him before.....and we had a lovely conversation. I asked him if he might be willing to chip in some to help with the cost of all the birdseed he's been gobbling up. His response was to ask me to get my fanny off "his" porch so he could commence with raiding the birdfeeder again!
