I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity.

I wanted to come back and add a comment on this image since several lovely people have mentioned to me recently how much they like it. That, and seeing it matted and framed in person for the first time while preparing for my local Farmer's Market, took me back to the morning I "saw" this wonder...and a contemplation of just what it was that it conveyed.
It was one of those sunny, frosty, very early mornings...my favorite and usual time for a walk. There is something truly magical about that time of day, just after dawn, when the newly risen sun is kissing the earth with it's first warming rays of light. Not quite warm enough yet to melt the fr...

So beautiful, this frosted fern and leaf! Seen and shot with tenderness. As for "ambiguity," maybe it's the spice of life! LF!

Many thanks to my buyer from Sun City Center, FLA.....I hope these images bring you many hours of joy!

Congrats on your sale. The image stopped me in my tracks too, when looking through my activity feed; had to stop and comment. It takes great composition to capture a lone leaf on a bed of dead fern and make it take someone's breath away. Well done. Loved your description too. Quite the cliff hanger ( :

Oh, Rory...you know how I love looking through your gallery and be...well...almost intoxicated with the philosophy and meanings of magical imagery and your words...and I could just carry on reading - so I am glad you put in brackets ( to be continued ) as I know there is more waiting to be composed...more to convey emotionally...more to share...keep on creating...visually and prose...what an amazing talent you are and I am so proud of you my dear friend...xx f/v
Rory Siegel replied:
Thank you so much my kind friend for your never failing support and encouragement. Yes, I was in that flow of writing, but got interrupted...guffaw! Will hope to finish after the Farmer's Market on Sunday! The very best part of FAA is getting to meet the loving and talented people on here like you!

Wow Bette...thank you for the really awesome comment! I too was pleasantly surprised by this seemingly simple image...and how it actually turned out when matted and framed. I like it so much that I am going to do a larger, poster sized version for the Farmer's Market next!
