This photo was taken during the Yelm Prairie Days celebration this year at the amusement park set up in Yelm City Park. I took many, many photos, but was completely captivated for awhile by this young man...who earns his living traveling with the carnival. It was wonderful to watch someone who truly seemed to enjoy what he was doing....and his life in general. Most of the time I was observing him (and snapping away), he was smiling and watching the crowds of people himself. His energy and optimism, the calm sense of self-assurance he exuded, really touched me...and I hope that comes across in this photo.
