This was taken earlier in the year from a dear friend's property....a friend who was moving away very soon...not long after her husband's passing. It was such an incredibly beautiful day...and the smoke from a neighbor's fire was wafting across the pond into the very beginning of a sweet and golden sunset. Though sad about my friend's imminent departure, and the difficult passing of her husband who was also a dear friend, there was a great sense of tranquility and peace in the moments I spent gazing across the water....remembering and grateful for the many wonderful shared times of friendship.
