Description
Heartbreak opens onto the sunrise for even breaking is opening
and I am broken,
I am open.
Broken into the new life without pushing in,
open to the possibilities within,
pushing out.
See the love shine in through my cracks?
See the light shine out through me?
I am broken,
I am open,
I am broken open.
See the love light shining through me,
shining through my cracks,
through the gaps.
My spirit takes journey,
my spirit takes flight,
could not have risen otherwise
and I am not running,
I am choosing.
Running is not a choice from the breaking.
Breaking is freeing,
broken is freedom.
I am not broken, I am free

I'm impressed! You are not only a wonderful photographer, but you certainly know how to work a brush too. Lovely work Rory!

How very lovely Jane, to read words that so perfectly express what this work means to me, or as you mentioned elsewhere, the joy of someone else "getting it." Thank you for having the heart and mind to see!

Wow ! ...I am enchanted by the "spaciousness" of this portrait. With her swept back hair and the light on her face, there is nothing in the way. Just her gaze that looks so far beyond herself to that "other" part of her that she is perceiving. How beautifully subtle to paint her "sensing" in that way Rory. Very beautiful indeed. v/f
