AWESOME Rory! Reminds me of an upsized version of that dog you discussed recently. This is such a cool dog! That childhood friend that nothing could replace. Wonderful capture!
Rory Siegel replied:
Thank you so much Steve! For work schedule related reasons I never had a dog up until about 10 years ago, when the universe apparently decided it was time. I had worked with dogs of course for many, many years as a vet tech, but never had my own. Then, a dog that used to "visit" me everyday, who belonged to my landlord, was about to be taken to the pound. I tried everything I knew to find this dear dog a home, but nothing decent came through. Finally I realized that I was not finding a home for her because I WAS her new home....and the rest is history! She had already bonded with my cat during the visits and I found a way to take good care of her. I have to say that this experience has changed me profoundly, teaching me so much about the real nature of unconditional love...and I am very grateful for the learning!

Rory, great capture! Gave it a vote here & in the Pause in Time contest too.
Rory Siegel replied:
Thank you Cheri...much appreciated! Funny because I saw a piece in a contest yesterday that I really liked and voted for...then realized it was yours, lol! (Yes, I only vote according to the images and try not to see the names until afterwards!)
