Description
Our purpose is to consciously deliberately evolve toward a wiser, more liberated and luminous state of being, to return to Eden, make friends with the snake, and set up our computers among the wild apple trees.
Deep down, all of us are probably aware that some kind of mystical evolution - a melding into the godhead, into love - is our true task. Yet we suppress the notion with considerable force because to admit it is to acknowledge that most of our political gyrations, religious dogmas, social ambitions, and financial ploys are not merely counterproductive but trivial.
Our mission is to jettison those pointless preoccupations and take on once again the primordial cargo of inexhaustible ecstasy. Or, barring that, to turn out a good thin-crust pizza and a strong glass of beer.

Putting it together mindfully through conscious choice may be our greatest challenge...and our best reason for being here! Thank you so much Kym!

Rory, This is another amazing piece! You are so insightful! I hope you find the pieces of the puzzle! Or how to put it back together again! Thank you for stopping by my gallery and leaving your kind, and expressive words! I voted, fav'd and google plus'd this...but for some reason the counter on the G+ does go up.. Anyways.. thinking of you! I love this mixed media work of yours!

Jane, I so appreciate your wonderful, thoughtful comments. It's one of the greatest compliments and means of learning, when another artist takes the time to give one honest feedback. I am happy that you like this and that you "get it" too...just like you expressed to me about your Oneness image...which I so love. Thank you for taking the time to not only view, but to contemplate on the essence and intention behind my work. I am so happy to have met you!

Oh...you've done it again Rory !! I knew I'd like your paintings. It feels like she appears to be smiling in a satisfied way as she realizes that she isn't a seperate fragment of the puzzle, but is actually both the fragment AND the whole picture. From now on, it all makes much more sense. I like this so much and your writing. I expect this painting could mean so many different things to different people. It is beautiful just on its own without interpretation too. Love her face ! v/f
