Let them wash over me,
Wash away the traces
Of too many faces
I thought I had to show the world.
Let the masks come down
The beauty and the clown,
The artist and the smartest
And the nicest girl around.
Let them seep into the sand
And wash out in the tide
I am naked,
I am naked,
There is nothing left to hide behind.
And the air on my face
Is a rebirth taking place,
I can breathe,
I can be,
Let these waves washing over me
Just sweep me out to sea.
