Description
One of my regular visitors hovers a moment as he navigates his approach to the feeder. I consciously ask these amazing beings if they will hover away from the feeder for me so I can get clear shots. Often they are very agreeable. Maybe it sounds funny, but I often sense their willingness to help me, not easy when they move so amazingly fast. This is a male Anna's hummingbird flashing as he zoomed in for a drink! Light waves reflect and refract off the throat feathers, creating very vivid colors.
